Provides consultation and assessments for adults with depression or bipolar disorders. Offers single-visit assessments and treatment recommendations. Also offers programs for seasonal depression (seasonal affective disorder), first episode mania, and treatment-resistant mood disorders. Follows a limited number of patients for brief management (typically two to three months), usually in clinical research protocols. The focus of expertise at the centre is on medication management, psychotherapy, and neurostimulation treatments. Referral required from a family physician, psychiatrist, or other specialist. Primarily serves the Vancouver Coastal Health Region, including North Vancouver, Richmond, the Sunshine Coast, and Vancouver. Offered through UBC MDC REACH. Reception hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday.
