Orchard House Full Time Attendance Program (FTAP)

Provides a full-time attendance program (FTAP) that is a community-based alternative to being in custody. Serves male-identifying youth ages 12 and 18 that are court-ordered to attend an FTAP. The goal of the program is to help youth return to their family (when possible) and community and develop prosocial skills and behaviours that will decrease their involvement in the criminal justice system. Also provides a residential treatment program for youth experiencing substance use issues and involvement in the criminal justice system. Participants grow as individuals, learn how resilient they are, receive support and guidance, and renew their connection to community. Program includes education, daily physical and recreational activity, life skills development, individual and group counselling, and employment readiness training. Serves BC. Referral from a youth probation officer required. Funded by Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).
