Pathways Shelter
Provides year-round, low-barrier, 24-hour emergency shelter with three separate shared spaces for up to 44 homeless adults; 11 beds for women, 24 beds for individuals of any gender, and pods with beds for any gender for those requiring less supervision. Services include meals, showers and laundry facilities, clothing, personal hygiene products, first aid including wound care, opioid agonist treatment (OAT), STI testing, and access to local calling. Other support services include case management, probation officer check-ins, assistance with income assistance or crisis grant applications, and life skills training. People may be admitted when intoxicated if there is no disruptive behaviour; using is restricted to designated areas. Staff are on site 24 hours. A personal locker with lock as well as two storage bins are available; can store excess items for up to seven days. Cats and dogs are accommodated but must be on a leash or in a contained area at all times. There is a limit of four pets on-site at a time. Wheelchair accessible. Beds are available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Accepts referral from self or other. Funded by BC Housing.
