Patient Care Quality Office (PCQO)

Service Description

Acts as a point of contact to share feedback, compliments, or concerns regarding quality of care within the Vancouver Coastal Health region. Formally registers complaints about patient care that have not been resolved at the service delivery level, works with the patient and family to identify a reasonable solution, and provides explanations regarding decisions and actions taken as a result of the complaint. Patients dissatisfied with how the complaint was handled can request the Ministry of Health Patient Care Quality Review Board look into the matter. VCH region includes Bella Bella, Bella Coola, Lions Bay, North Vancouver, Pemberton, Powell River, Richmond, Squamish, the Sunshine Coast, Vancouver, West Vancouver, and Whistler. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
