PEACE (Prevention, Education, Advocacy, Counselling and Empowerment) Program for Children and Youth Experiencing Violence - Clearwater
Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence. Helps children and youth understand their emotions, discuss their trauma, develop a safety plan, recognize their strengths, increase their self-confidence, and understand that they are not responsible for the violence. Also provides individual and group support for the non-offending parent and caregivers. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves Clearwater as well as Avola, Birch Island, Blackpool, Blue River, Little Fort, and Vavenby. Office hours are 8:30 am to 12 noon and 1 pm to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
