Pemberton Provincial Court Services
Hears and makes rulings on legal disputes relating to criminal, civil, family, traffic, and bylaw matters. Hours for Court Registry vary Monday to Friday; cases are not scheduled every day at this court location. There may not be court staff present unless cases are scheduled. Duty counsel services are provided to coincide with what is occurring in court on any given day; hours vary. Drop-in clients may be seen only if there is time left in the day. Individuals may be eligible for criminal duty counsel if they are charged with a crime and cannot get a legal aid lawyer or have not yet applied for legal aid. Duty counsel provides advice about charges laid, court procedures, and legal rights, as well as provide representation at bail hearings and help with guilty pleas. Family duty counsel also provided at this location; details given under Legal Aid BC (LABC). This is a circuit court served by North Vancouver Provincial and Supreme Courts.
