Prince George Fire Centre
Responds to wildfires, regulates burning, and provides information on fire prevention in Northeast BC. Monitors the wildfire risk in the region and determines fire bans and restrictions. Crews also conduct controlled burns to reduce the risk of wildfires or to prepare areas for reforestation. Call the Report a Wildfire Line 24 hours a day, seven days a week to report smoke, flames, or an open fire violation. Covers the Robson Valley, Dawson Creek, Fort St John, Fort Nelson, Mackenzie, VanJam, and Prince George fire zones. Office hours are 8 am to 4 pm.
