Public Health
Provides public health nursing services. Prenatal and Early Years services include prenatal nutrition and lifestyle information; education and information on pregnancy and childbirth; postpartum support, including physical and emotional well-being for mothers and babies; breastfeeding assessment and support; and child health clinics and immunizations. Also provides dental services for children up to age six and adults with developmental disabilities whose eligibility has been established through Community Living BC (CLBC). School-age Health services include immunization, health promotion, and nutrition education, as well as vision, hearing, speech, and dental screening. Services are coordinated through local school districts; no referral is required. Offices are located in 100 Mile House, Anahim Lake, Armstrong, Barriere, Castlegar, Chase, Clearwater, Cranbrook, Crawford Bay, Enderby, Fernie, Golden, Grand Forks, Invermere, Kamloops, Kaslo, Kelowna, Keremeos, Lillooet, Lumby, Merritt, Midway, Nakusp, Nelson, New Denver, Oliver, Penticton, Princeton, Revelstoke, Rock Creek, Rutland, Salmo, Salmon Arm, Sicamous, Sparkwood, Summerland, Trail, Vernon, West Kelowna, and Williams Lake. Hours vary.
