Offers rent supplements to eligible young adults ages 19 to 27 who are transitioning to adulthood from being youth in care. The $600 monthly rent supplement is provided for up to two years to individuals who are renting in the private rental market in BC. Eligibility criteria include spending 23 cumulative months in any care status between the ages of 12 to 19, having been adopted/had their custody permanently transferred to someone other than their parent between the ages of 12 and 19, or being eligible for the Agreements with Young Adults program. 50% of the rent supplements are available to Indigenous individuals. Applications are accepted over a two-week period twice per year (typically in February and September).
