Rental Assistance Program (RAP)

Service Description

Provides cash assistance to eligible low-income working families to help with their monthly rent payments. Families must have a gross annual household income of $40,000 or less, have at least one dependent child, have less than $100,000 in assets, have filed income tax returns, currently pay more than 30 percent of household income towards rent, have lived in BC for 12 months prior to application, receive some or all of household income from employment, do not receive income assistance, and do not live in subsidized or co-operative housing. Existing clients need to reapply each year. Service is in English; callers who require interpretation must make arrangements in advance.
