Respite Care

Provides respite services for families with members who have developmental disabilities, fetal alcohol syndrome, or autism. Service can be delivered in a caregiver's home, family's home, or in the community. Minimum and maximum respite care days will be determined on a case-by-case basis. To qualify for Adult Respite care the individual must be over the age of 19 and must be referred through Community Living BC (CLBC). Child and Youth Respite care candidates must be under 19 years of age and eligible for Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD)'s Children and Youth with Support Needs Program (CYSN); for those with alternate funding sources may apply directly.
