Provides immediate emotional support and information to self-identified women age 13 and over who have been sexually assaulted within the past week, and facilitates accompaniment to hospital, medical, and/or police services as requested by the survivor. SART service can be arranged 24 hours a day, seven days a week, by phoning or visiting the emergency department. Collaborative response provided by Kootenay Lake Hospital, Specialized Victim Services (SVS), Women's Outreach (WO), Police-based Victim Services (PBVS) and Aimee Beaulieu Transition House (ABTH).
