Social and Health Options for Persons in Sex Work (SHOP)

Provides community development, outreach support services, and programming for individuals engaged in sex work. Uses a client-centred, trauma-informed harm reduction approach. Provides access to a clothing room and toiletries, shower and laundry facilities, and internet. Feast and Health Connect serves a meal from 1 pm to 3 pm Thursdays; offers access to staff and street nurses. Street and online outreach services include individualized supportive counselling, advocacy and education, housing and tenancy support, harm reduction and safe sex supplies, red light alerts, support for families of sex workers, and referrals to community resources. Offers information and health navigation for Blood-Borne Infections. Program available in the Merritt area as online and outreach services only.
