Subsidized Housing Listings

Provided by: BC Housing

Service Description

Online directory that provides maps and addresses of subsidized housing developments in BC for families, singles and couples, seniors, and adults with disabilities. Eligibility criteria vary. Subsidized housing is affordable, independent living, long-term housing for people whose gross household income is below a certain limit. Rental fees are calculated on a rent geared to income basis (30% of household total gross income). Housing options include public housing, nonprofit housing, and housing co-operatives. Applications are completed either through the Housing Registry (listed separately) or directly to the housing provider; specific instructions for each development are included in the housing listings. Listings are available at BC Housing offices. Service is in English; callers who require interpretation must make arrangements in advance.
