Temporary Special Measures for Foreign Nationals Affected by Conflict or Natural Disasters

Provides temporary immigration pathways, temporary resident visas, and information for foreign nationals affected by conflict or natural disasters seeking to come to, or remain in, Canada. Also offers temporary immigration measures for foreign national family members of Canadian citizens or permanent residents affected by the same. Details of current temporary special measures available online. Contact for those affected by a crisis situation is through a web form: secure.cic.gc.ca/ClientContact/en/Crisis. Those accepted into Canada under a special measure receive a temporary resident document that includes how long they can stay and allows them to access free settlement services in Canada.
