The Sanctuary Women's Stabilization and Recovery

Service Description

The Stabilization Program provides trauma-informed counselling and wraparound support for women who require an outreach worker's assistance to begin their recovery journey. The Supportive Recovery Program is a six- to 12- month residence for 15 adult women (cisgender and transgender) with or without children who are actively seeking a recovery-centred lifestyle. Offers individual and group counselling, addiction education, life skills development, anger management training, stress management, educational upgrading, and employment counselling and related services. Also offers second-stage aftercare and transitional housing for program graduates (see separate listing for details). Oriented toward a Christian world view, and open to all. Abstinence based program; does not accept women on substitution therapy. Open referral. Service is provided in English; no access to interpretation provided. Intake is on a drop-in basis in person from 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Fee is based on income, up to $550 per month. Wheelchair accessible.
