Trailside Transitional Housing
Provides transitional supportive housing for individuals who are experiencing homelessness. Priority is given to seniors and people living with disabilities, who are mainly living in shelters and ready to move into more independent housing with supports; others will be assessed on a case-by-case basis. Accepts couples. Services include meals, laundry services, life skills training, individualized care plans, case management, and connections to community services. Residents also have access to Interior Health services such as episodic primary care, wound care, medication support, clinical referrals, and connections to mental health and substance use treatment. Staff are on site 24/7. Referrals come from the Coordinated Access and Assessment process, and must include a Vulnerability Assessment (VAT), and application through the BC Housing Supportive Housing Registry at www.bchousing.org/housing-assistance/housing-with-support/supportive-housing. Pets are accepted on a case-by-case basis. Partnership program with the City of Kelowna and BC Housing. Funded in part by BC Housing.
