Designated agency responsible for looking into situations of suspected abuse, neglect, and self-neglect involving vulnerable adults who are unable to seek support and assistance. Specially trained staff in hospitals and community programs respond to and investigate reports of possible abuse, neglect, and self-neglect of adults. Receives reports of suspected vulnerable adult abuse and neglect, provides consultation, and trains and supports frontline health care providers to understand their obligations to recognize, report, investigate, and intervene. Educational materials are available. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
