Verification of Status Document

Provides a verification of status (VOS) document to citizenship and immigration clients that links their previous and new names or gender identifiers; this document facilitates obtaining services under a new name or gender that appears on a permanent resident card. Clients who have already received a change of name or gender identifier can request a VOS by submitting an email request to IRCC.VOS-VDS.IRCC@cic.gc.ca. Cost is $30. See website for further details.
