Provides an emergency shelter for women (inclusive of cisgender and transgender women) and gender non-conforming individuals, with or without children, fleeing physical, sexual, and/or emotional abuse. Offers advocacy, counselling, and assistance with relocation. Not wheelchair accessible. Pets are not accepted but will arrange for accommodation with a community partner. Typical stay is one week. Serves Alert Bay, Port Alice, Port Hardy, Port McNeill, and Sointula. Funded by BC Housing.
