Young Aboriginal Mother's Transitional Housing

Provides transitional housing and support for new and expectant cisgender Aboriginal mothers between 18 and 25 years of age and their children, in the Nanaimo area, who are homeless or who are at risk of homelessness. Supports mothers to reintegrate with family and access education, stable housing, employment, and opportunities for social and economic participation. Staffed from 6 am to 6 pm Monday to Friday, as well as part-day coverage on weekends; office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday. Receives Government of Canada's Reaching Home: Canada's Homelessness Strategy funding through United Way BC.
