Young Parent Program (YPP)

Funds community agencies to provide programs that support young parents ages 24 and younger to complete high school. Provides monthly payments to young parents in the program to help with child care costs, up to $1,500 (per month per child). Parents should first apply directly to a designated Young Parent Program (YPP) facility to secure a space for their child before applying for this financial support using the Affordable Childcare Benefit application form. To find a designated YPP facility, parents can contact their local Childcare Resource and Referral centre, their local school district, or the provincial Child Care Service Centre. Phone line hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
