The Winter Wise Program offers a real-time Snow Response Request tool to identify streets that need snow removal online: www.coquitlam.ca/354/Winter-Wise-Program. Mayor: Richard Stewart. Councillors: Brent Asmundson, Matt Djonlic, Craig Hodge, Steve Kim, Trish Mandewo, Dennis Marsden, Robert Mazzarolo, and Teri Towner. Bylaw complaint and reporting hours are 8 am to 9 pm seven days a week, and 9 am to 4:30 pm on statutory holidays. Office hours are 8 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.

Administers and enforces regulations of Animal Care and Control Bylaw in Coquitlam. Issues include unleashed dogs or dogs running at large, vicious or attacking dogs, barking dogs, stray pets, lost pets, and impounded pets. Issues dog licences and cat identification. Does not deal with abused domestic animals or injured wildlife. Also handles dog licensing. Coquitlam Animal Shelter offers pet adoption, pick-up of dead animals on roads and in public areas, and private and general animal cremation; sheltering services are also provided to residents of Port Moody. Pet Pantry offers excess pet food to those in need; contact shelter to arrange pickup. City Kennels offers dog boarding services; fees are charged. Shelter hours are 9 am to 8 pm Monday to Friday, and 10 am to 4 pm Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays (closed Christmas and New Years Day). Bylaw reporting hours are 8 am to 9 pm Monday to Friday, and 9 am to 4:30 pm Saturdays and Sundays.

Meals cost $7.50; menu changes weekly and is updated online. Orders can be placed online or by phone. Meals are delivered for free by 12 pm on Tuesdays (schedule may change with civic holidays).

Community and recreation centres offer a wide range of facilities including indoor and outdoor swimming pools, spray parks, fitness centres, multipurpose rooms, racquet courts, tennis courts, pickleball courts, ice rinks, trails, youth centres, and seniors centres. Offers recreation, social, and cultural programs for all ages and abilities, including children, youth, families, seniors, and people with disabilities; program offerings vary from centre to centre, and some are seasonal programs. Centres include Centennial Activity Centre, Centennial Pavilion, City Centre Aquatic Complex, Dogwood Pavilion, Getaway Youth Centre, Glen Pine Pavilion, Maillardville Community Centre, Pinetree Community Centre, Poirier Sport and Leisure Complex, Poirier Community Centre, Smiling Creek Activity Centre, Summit Community Centre, Town Centre Park Community Centre, and Victoria Community Hall.
