Provides integrated, accessible social services to individuals and families throughout the East Kootenay Region. Programs and services respond to community needs and are delivered out of two service hubs: Kootenay Child Development Centre (KCDC) and Community Connections (CCS). Both hubs are a combination of programs that are managed by CCS and programs/services that community partners manage. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Thursday, and 9 am to 12 noon on Fridays; winter hours are in Mountain time. Nonprofit society.

Assists seniors ages 65 and over who are in general good health, but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their communities.

Assists seniors ages 65 and over who are in general good health, but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their communities. Services include information and referrals to other services, and light housekeeping (fees charged on a sliding scale). Through volunteers, offers grocery shopping assistance, transportation to shopping and medical appointments, prepared food delivery, light yard work, snow shoveling, minor home repairs, and support with odd jobs and errands. Also provides social connections through phone calls, virtual meetings, and in-person gatherings. 50+ Angel Tree Christmas Project provides gifts for older adults who might not otherwise have a gift to open on Christmas. Accepts applications for the BC Farmers Market Nutritional Coupon Program on a first-come, first-served basis in May. Serves Cranbrook. Office hours are 9 am to 4 pm Monday to Friday. Call for appointment; walk-ins accepted time permitting. Funded by Government of BC and managed by United Way British Columbia (UWBC).
