Responsible for the funding of services for adults with developmental disabilities, and for adults with significant limitations in adaptive functioning and a diagnosis of fetal alcohol spectrum disorder (FASD) or pervasive developmental disorder (PDD)/autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Provides family support, employment services, life-skills training, residential and community inclusion services through a network of service providers that includes nonprofit and private agencies, and individual caregivers. Professionals and independent contractors also deliver services such as behavioural support. Individuals and families are able to raise concerns or request a review of decisions made by CLBC through the complaints process by contacting the Quality Assurance Office. Also accepts reports of wrongdoing and irregularity by mail, email (CLBCreportline@gov.bc.ca), or by calling the main line and requesting to speak with the Internal Auditor. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Provincial Crown corporation.
