Provides a wide range of services and programs including information and referral services, health and wellness programs, and educational workshops; serves children, youth, families, newcomers, and seniors. Offers various child care programs including daycare (part-time and full-time), and before- and after-school care. Family programs include drop-in Family Play Time, child care, and school-break camps. Programs for newcomers include an Immigrant Women's Support Group and various English Conversation Circles. Community Volunteer Income Tax Program offers free-with-membership income tax clinics for eligible Westside of Vancouver residents with a modest income and a simple tax situation. Book an appointment to drop off tax papers in the Kits House lobby; a volunteer will contact the client to arrange a phone appointment in March and April; contact gemmah@kitshouse.org or 604-736-3588 local 124 for more information. Public access computers and room rentals are also available.The Living Room is accessible without a membership and offers books, free WiFi, air conditioning, games, and coffee/tea and snacks. Friday Food Distribution offers access to free produce with no barriers to access from 11 am to 1 pm; weekly registration is required (lottery system for time slots). Annual membership is $10 for individuals, $20 per family. Office hours are 9 am to 6 Monday to Friday. Nonprofit society, registered charity.
