The registry compiles and maintains a database of Metis citizens in BC and serves as the official political representative of Metis people in BC, as recognized by provincial and federal governments. Eligibility is based on self-identification, ancestral connection to the historic Metis community, and acceptance by the contemporary Metis community. Applications can be completed online at metishub.ca or offline. Office hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Helps lower income Métis Elders/seniors purchase health-related necessities not covered by the BC Medical Services Plan (MSP). The funds can be used for the purchase of items such as hearing aids, mobility aids, dentures and dental care, eye exams and eye glasses, orthopedics, home barrier removals, prescriptions, and eligible medical treatments. MNBC will work directly with service providers to set up direct billing to avoid Elders and seniors and their families' out-of-pocket expenses. The program is open to Metis Nation BC Elders 65 years of age and up with a single income of $22,056 and a household income of $52,848. Application can be downloaded from website or requested by email.

Provides housing loss prevention and housing stabilization services to low-income Métis citizens and self-identified Métis who are homeless, precariously housed, or facing housing instability.
Provides housing loss prevention and housing stabilization services to low-income Métis citizens and self-identified Métis who are homeless, precariously housed, or facing housing instability. Services include, but are not limited to housing crisis interventions and eviction prevention support; assistance with rent and utility arrears; support with housing searches and the rental application process; assistance and support for those exiting homelessness, including damage deposit and first months' rent; assistance with housing set-up costs including basic furnishings and household items; assistance with transportation costs to access emergency accommodations; information on community resources and supports; and information and referrals to other relevant MNBC Programs and resources. To qualify, applicants must be experiencing homelessness or at imminent risk of becoming homeless; be an MNBC citizen; be a resident of BC; have a total gross annual household income of $54,000.00 or less; not have assets of more than $2,500 (excluding a personal vehicle); and not be a homeowner. Apply using the online application form.

Supports Métis people with a history of homelessness by providing the essentials required to build a new future in their homes. Supports individuals and families with lived experience of homelessness who are transitioning to stable housing from a precarious living situation; individuals who are fleeing abuse; individuals who are leaving institutional settings; and youth transitioning out of care. Kits contain items necessary for living independently, and that assist with costs associated with transitioning through the housing spectrum, such as kitchen items, bedding and linens, cleaning supplies, groceries, and items identified specific to applicants' housing needs. Application is available through the website. Offered in partnership with SPARC BC.
