Provides free and confidential harm reduction services from North of the Malahat to Oceanside, including Lake Cowichan, Duncan, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville, and Qualicum.
Provides free and confidential harm reduction services from North of the Malahat to Oceanside, including Lake Cowichan, Duncan, Ladysmith, Nanaimo, Parksville, and Qualicum. Provides harm reduction supplies, along with harm reduction education and referrals to health, mental health and substance use, and other social supports. Sharps disposal, distribution of safer injection, safer inhalation and safer sex supplies, along with health information to reduce harm. Offers point of care rapid HIV and hepatitis C (HCV) testing. Provides Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) and training. Health outreach hours are 1 pm to 8 pm Tuesdays in the Cowichan area; 12 pm to 5 pm Mondays and 12 pm to 7 pm Thursdays in Parksville; 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm Wednesdays, and 2 pm to 9:30 pm Fridays and Saturdays in Nanaimo/Ladysmith area; text or leave a message for a call back, or call during hours given to arrange a confidential meeting.

Offers specialized counselling services to male partners in parenting relationships who have engaged in intimate partner violence, leading to involvement from the Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). The program is staffed by two clinical counsellors trained in therapies for addressing relationship violence. Accepts clients through MCFD referral only. Provides free and confidential testing and some treatment for sexually transmitted infections (STI), and other blood born infections such as HIV and hepatitis (HCV). Provides current and up to date health education regarding risk reduction and other issues related to sexually transmitted infections and blood-borne infections. Open to everyone and supportive of persons who are at greater risk of harms associated with substance use or who are sexually active and not connected to health care services. Provides safer sex supplies, including condoms. Provides Take Home Naloxone Kits (Narcan) and training. STI testing is available Monday through Thursday. Call or text to book an appointment. Funded by Island Health.
