  Provides immigrants, refugees, refugee claimants, and foreign workers the opportunity to improve language skills, prepare for English Test for Immigration and Employment, connect with industry specific career mentors, and helps to build connections in the community through volunteer mentors; newcomers are matched with mentors based on criteria such as similar interests, age, professional background, and occupation.

Mentors support and encourage mentees in their goals, connect them to established Canadians, and share information on Canadian workplace culture and occupational practices as well as local job market and networking opportunities, role of public institutions and community resources, and local culture and values. Services are available in Punjabi, Bengali, Tagalog, Hindi, and Urdu; services may also be available in Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, French, and Spanish depending on staff availability. Office hours are 9 am to 6 pm Monday to Wednesday, 9 am to 7 pm Thursdays, 9 am to 5 pm Fridays, and 9 am to 1 pm Saturdays.

  Provides free English classes for adult newcomers to Canada who are permanent residents or refugees, as well as refugee claimants or temporary foreign workers.

  Provides free English classes for adult newcomers to Canada who are permanent residents or refugees, as well as refugee claimants or temporary foreign workers. Focus is on topics such as housing, banking, transportation, and community resources that are important for everyday functioning in Canada. Language levels includes beginner's (levels 1 to 3), intermediate (levels 4 to 5), and advanced (levels 6-8). Also assesses prospective students for eligibility and training level. Free child care is available for children from one month of age to five years of age. Serves Cawston, Hedley, Kaleden, Keremeos, Naramata, Okanagan Falls, Penticton, Princeton, and Summerland; videoconferencing is available for communities outside of Penticton. Services are available in Punjabi, Bengali, Tagalog, Hindi, and Urdu; services may also be available in Arabic, Chinese, Farsi, French, and Spanish depending on staff availability.   Supports the social and economic integration of newcomers who are not eligible to receive services from federally funded programs.

  Supports the social and economic integration of newcomers who are not eligible to receive services from federally funded programs. Program serves refugee claimants, temporary foreign workers, post-secondary international students, provincial nominees who are not yet permanent residents, and recently naturalized citizens who continue to be dependent on settlement support; there may be eligibility restrictions for some services. Assists with needs assessment and orientation to the community, completion of government forms and applications, making appointments, and referrals to community agencies and resources.
