Offers internet connectivity at a reduced cost of $10 a month for low-income families and seniors, youth aging out of care, and people with disabilities in BC. The reduced cost is has no term commitment, is a month to month service, and is subject to change without notice. It includes speeds of up to 25 megabits per second and up to 300 gigabits of data per month. Eligible families include those with a net income of less than or equal to $31,120, who have children under the age of majority, and are currently receiving the maximum Canada Child Benefit. Those who receive the BC Persons with Disability (PWD) benefit or the Canada Pension Plan Disability Benefit (CPPD) are also eligible. When applying, send verifying documents by email or mail. In partnership with Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada.

Provides BC youth ages 19 to 26 with access to a free monthly cell phone plan for two years.
Youth must have been in permanent or temporary care of MCFD/Delegated Aboriginal Agency or on a youth agreement as of their 19th birthday, or eligible for the Agreement with Young Adults Program; see website for details regarding eligibility. Youth who do not have a phone will have the option of receiving a smartphone from TELUS. Aim is to help youth stay in touch with friends and workers, and access services and resources, including employment and academic opportunities.

Allows customers who are deaf or hard-of-hearing or who have difficulty with speech to use a TTY or teletypewriter (also known as TDD or Telecommunications Device for the Deaf) to communicate with any other telephone user.
Also allows a hearing person without a TTY to call a TTY user. Staff at the Message Relay Centre can also call directory assistance on behalf of TTY users. Service is available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. No charge for local calls, and long distance calls (for TTY customers only) are billed at a reduced rate. Telus IP Relay Service enables deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals to place and receive text-based relay calls from any device with internet access. A Telus IP Relay operator will connect an IP Relay caller to a voice/hearing party. Does not place IP to IP calls. Free service to place local or long distance calls within North America; usage charges may apply for mobile devices. International calls are billed at regular long distance rates. All calls are strictly confidential.
