  A three-level group offering psycho-education on the impact of sexual abuse and the processing of childhood abuse memories.

  A three-level group offering psycho-education on the impact of sexual abuse and the processing of childhood abuse memories. Sessions aim to foster participants' ability to live in the present without being overwhelmed by thoughts and feelings of the past, and to be ready to take concrete steps towards empowerment and self-determined living. Participants are required to commit to all three levels, and must have a one-to-one therapist. A screening interview is required to determine eligibility, so interested parties should call ahead to be put on the waitlist. Group runs annually. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG) as a Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling program.

  Provides support services for pregnant, postpartum, and newly parenting women, up to six months postpartum. Focus on participants who are not already accessing services and who are experiencing risks to their health and well-being, including unstable housing, food insecurity, lack of prenatal care, poverty, intimate partner violence, and/or systemic racism. Offers trauma-informed, and culturally safe support with basic needs, access to services, assistance with reaching self-identified goals, and connection between acute care facilities and community organizations. Collaboration between Provincial Perinatal Substance Use Program, BC Women's Hospital and Health Centre, and Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).

Class topics include labour and delivery, mother's mental health, car seat safety, feeding your baby, financial literacy, and more. A dietitian and outreach worker provide one-to-one support and community referrals. Also provides coupons, vitamins, and bus tickets.   Offers free individual and group counselling to adult women who have a history family violence, sexual assault, and/or witnessed domestic violence. Sufficient safety and stabilization are required for applicants who are in recovery from substance abuse. A telephone interview is conducted to determine eligibility. Serves Burnaby; service is open to New Westminster residents if there is a history of childhood sexual abuse. Funded by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG) as a Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling Program.
