Provides services for individuals, couples, seniors, and families in the Jewish and broader community throughout the lower mainland. Services include a food bank program, counselling, case management, older adult services, and emergency financial assistance. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Thursday; Friday hours are 9 am to 4 pm in January, 9 am to 4:30 pm from February to October, and 9 am to 3:30 pm in November and December. Assists older adults age 65 and over who are in general good health but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their communities.

Assists older adults age 65 and over who are in general good health but require help with non-medical daily tasks to maintain independent living within their homes and remain connected to their communities. Services include light housekeeping, minor home repairs, grocery shopping assistance, meal delivery, friendly visiting, and bus/social outings. Serves clients living in Kerrisdale, Oakridge, Marpole, Dunbar, or Southlands. Fees for housekeeping, meal delivery, and transportation to medical appointments are on a sliding scale based on income; home repairs is $20 per year for up to six visits. All other services are free. Referrals accepted from self or others. Program hours are 9 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday. Funded by Ministry of Health (MOH) and managed by United Way BC.

This is a non-medical and non-clinical way of referral to meet older adults' need for social and community support. Serves Vancouver, the Tri-Cities, Richmond, South Surrey/White Rock, and the North Shore. Operated in partnership with Jewish Women International-BC. The Meals Program provides five meals weekly or bi-weekly at a subsidized cost to those in recovery, in mourning, or who find it difficult to cook due to a disability or other reasons. All food prepared in our kitchen is certified ‘Kosher Parve’ under the supervision of Kosher Check (formerly known as BCK). Registration for both the meals and grocery programs is through the community care line.

Provides therapy services for a wide range of concerns including child, youth, adults, seniors, couples, and families.

Provides therapy services for a wide range of concerns including child, youth, adults, seniors, couples, and families. Therapists are trained in a variety of therapeutic disciplines. Clients must be seen for an intake process to determine if JFS is the most appropriate resource for the client’s stated needs. Fees are on a sliding scale ranging from $40 to $110 based on income. Low-cost counselling is available to low-income individuals who are unable to afford subsidized programs. The Intern Counselling Clinic offers counseling by interns completing their graduate degrees in counselling. Students are supervised by experienced clinicians. The fee is between $15 to $25 per session. Clients may be seen for up to 16 sessions in both services. Counselling intake form is available online. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday.
