The Adult Life Skills Program offers assistance in learning life skills to adults with disabilities age 19 and over; contracts are set up on an individual basis with skill-focused goals at home and in the community.
The Supporting Transition Adult Group Education (STAGE) is a weekday program for young adults (ages 19 to 26) with disabilities who have completed high school; core service hours are 9 am to 3 pm Monday to Friday. Participants access educational, vocational, and social activities in the community or at the program site. Both programs require a referral from Community Living BC (CLBC) at 604-981-0321. Through ZAP (Zoom Adult Program), adults with disabilities who are isolated can improve their academic, vocational, and life skills, as well as their social life. Accepts referral from self or other. Serves North Vancouver and West Vancouver, as well as Bowen Island and Lions Bay. Office hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Provides communal, purpose-built, and wheelchair accessible four-bedroom homes, as well as apartment units for adults and children with disabilities throughout the North Shore.
Support varies according to need and may include community access, household support, and personal care (up to and including health care needs with 24-hour staffing requirements). Referral required from Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH), Community Living BC (CLBC), or Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD). Provides in-home consultation to families with children under the age of three who are at risk for, or already have, a developmental delay due to causes such as premature birth, disability, illness, and injury.
Home visits assist the family to plan learning activities and use community resources. Drop-in groups and classes provide opportunities for parents to meet and support each other. Resource library has books and toys which are available for loan. Serves North Vancouver and West Vancouver, as well as Bowen Island and Lions Bay. Advocates assist with accessing programs and services, including help with completing forms. Computer/internet access is open to the public; call first to ensure availability. Offers one-to-one and small group support to families with children ages five to 18 who have disabilities.
Individual participants are matched with a support worker who assist with skill development in the community. After-school programs are available for children who can manage well in small groups. Offers financial support to children and youth ages three to 18 with disabilities who require additional support to attend a recreation program and/or summer camp during July and August.
Individuals must live on the North Shore, be entering pre-school in September, or be under the age of 19 as of July 1st. Applications are available from February 1st to April 1st. Serves residents of North Vancouver and West Vancouver, as well as Bowen Island and Lions Bay. Office hours are 9:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
