Family-centred program for Indigenous children from birth to age six who have or are at risk of having a developmental delay.
Supports parents to understand and respond to children’s needs. Services are delivered in culturally sensitive and meaningful ways. Home-based services include home visits, activity planning, and developmental screening and assessment, and referral to other community services. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves all Nuu-chah-nulth communities, as well as Indigenous children living in Kyuquot, Port Alberni, Tofino, and Ucluelet. Funded by the BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres and Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD).

Enables Indigenous babies, children, and youth up to age 18 who require extra support to be included in childcare settings and community programs. Designed to ensure cultural safety and cultural sensitivity for First Nations children and families. Supports children in the areas of physical, cognitive, or social/emotional and behavioural development. Services include assistance finding childcare, individual planning, access to a toy and equipment lending library, and referral to other community resources. Referral accepted from self or other. Serves Kyuquot, Ditidaht, Huu-ay-aht, Uchucklesaht, Tseshaht, Hupacasaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Ucluelet, Toquaht, Ahousaht, and Hesquiaht. Provides a variety of employment services to Indigenous individuals age 15 and over who are unemployed or underemployed. One-on-one and group services include exploring career options, building a resume and cover letter, learning job search and interview skills, enhancing life skills and practical skills (reading, writing, numeracy, and computer skills), and overcoming barriers to employment. Offers training and workshops based on specific industry and community demands. Serves Indigenous people living in Port Alberni, Zeballos, Gold River, Tofino, Ucluelet, and Nuu-chah-nulth communities. Office hours are 8 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.

Supports the mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being of Nuu-chah-nulth individuals, families, and communities. Services include clinical counseling (one-to-one, family, or group), crisis response, and culturally safe practices reflecting Nuu-chah-nulth healing traditions. Crisis clinical counselling is available to Nuu Chah Nulth people living away from home through the Non-Insured Health Benefits program. The Quu'asa Wellness Program provides one-to-one and family support, incorporating cultural practices and ceremonies to help families reintroduce Nuu-chah-nulth traditions. Also supports survivors of residential school with filling out applications and finding resources and support. Offers mental wellness support for survivors and family members of Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women and Girls (MMIWG). Harm reduction services include Naloxone distribution and training and other harm reduction resources. Holds weekly picnics in Port Alberni during the summer and group activities (cedar bark harvesting, healthy activities for youth) for those struggling with addiction or mental health issues. Open to Nuu-chah-nulth members.

Ministry of Children and Family Development (MCFD) delegated Aboriginal agency that supports parents, extended families, and communities living on Nuu-chah-nulth reserves in protecting their children from abuse and neglect.
Provides protective services by investigating reports of child abuse and neglect, and ensuring the safety and support of children who are victims of abuse and neglect. Other MCFD services coordinated through central provincial offices include helplines and after-hours support; resources and referral; funding and benefits programs; and specialized treatment for disabilities, mental health issues, and substance use. Serves Aboriginal people living in Ahousaht, Ditidaht, Ehattesaht, Hesquiaht, Hupacasath, Huu-ay-aht, Kyuquot/Cheklesaht, Mowachaht/Muchalaht, Nuchatlaht, Tse-shaht, Tla-o-qui-aht, Toquaht, Uchucklesaht, and Ucluelet.
