Turning Point Recovery Society

Provides safe and supportive abstinence-based housing, programming, and outreach counselling services for individuals with addiction and mental health issues, and those at risk of overdose. All programs are client-centred, and informed by best and emerging practices to help improve quality of life, promote healthy living practices, and enhance opportunities for families to improve functioning. Programs assist clients to make positive life changes, develop pro-social behaviours and life skills, and reintegrate into the community. Meets the provincial standards for adult residential substance use services in BC. Nonprofit society, registered charity.

A 10-bed treatment and recovery residence for men (cisgender and transgender) ages 19 and over with substance use issues. Provides supported recovery services that are client-centred and evidence-based, including expressive arts therapy, acupuncture, yoga, aromatherapy, recreation therapy, and nutritional planning. Offers a 90-day program with possibility for extension; residents may be permitted to work for the last two or three weeks of their stay to assist the transition back to work and into the community. One bedroom and bathroom are wheelchair accessible. Clients should be 48 to 72 hours sober prior to admission, be medically stable and not at risk of experiencing acute withdrawal symptoms at intake; medical detox may be recommended.
