Provides a wide range of information and referral services in BC through 211 British Columbia, as well as the Alcohol and Drug Information and Referral Services, Gambling Support BC, Shelter and Street Help Line, VictimLink BC, and Youth Against Violence helplines. Resource navigators provide free, confidential, multilingual live call, text, webchat, and online service 24/7, 365 days a year, strengthening vital connections by referring people in need to resources in their local communities. Free, self-serve, online Resource Directory can be accessed at bc.211.ca. Enables policy development and program planning by analyzing caller and resource data and providing insights to decision-makers about social determinants of health needs. Accredited by the Alliance of Information and Referral Systems (AIRS). A division of United Way BC.
