Hosts meetings for members to gather and collaborate; attends community events around ?k?????n (Songhees and X?seps?m) and W_SÁNEC territories to let communities know of their services; hosts cultural events; and creates resources for sexualized and gender-based violence rooted in culturally-grounded community care and protocol.

  Connects Victoria Sexual Assault Centre (VSAC) departments and community partners to enhance visibility of services, identify gaps, and reduce barriers to survivors accessing support. The Community Outreach Collaboration Group consists of VSAC staff involved in outreach, meeting regularly to coordinate efforts and collaborate on projects. Outreach activities include presenting "VSAC 101" to outline VSAC's values, history, services, referral pathways, and trans-inclusivity work. The group attends community events and networks with a range of community partners in the Greater Victoria Region. Hours vary by event.

  Delivers sexualized violence prevention education in schools and communities across Greater Victoria and South Vancouver Island.

  Delivers sexualized violence prevention education in schools and communities across Greater Victoria and South Vancouver Island. Supports youth, educators, and youth-serving professionals in identifying and intervening in the root causes of sexualized violence. Education programs support a cultural shift towards consent culture within schools and community through Healthy Relations and Consent workshops for students in grades 9 to 12; Safer Spaces and Holding Space workshops for adults on sexual violence prevention and sexual assault disclosure training; the Black and Indigenous Empowerment (B.I.E) youth leadership team who design and deliver culturally relevant workshops for racialized students and their educators; a dating violence prevention workshop for racialized students; and a capacity building workshop for educators on creating safer spaces for racialized students.

  Provides confidential services to recent survivors of sexual assault, including crisis support and connections to community resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

  Provides confidential services to recent survivors of sexual assault, including crisis support and connections to community resources 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Services include immediate emotional support and information to people of all genders, ages 13 and older, who have been sexually assaulted within the past 30 days. Also facilitates accompaniment to hospital, medical services, and/or police, as requested by the survivor (available up to seven days after the assault). Call Vancouver Island Crisis Line (1-888-494-3888) and request to speak to a VSAC support working in Victoria to access service. Response provided collaboratively with Forensic Nurse Examiners, Island Health, RCMP, and police.

  Provides services related to the criminal justice system to women, trans, two-spirit, and gender diverse people ages 13 and over who have experienced sexual assault or historical sexual abuse.

  Provides services related to the criminal justice system to women, trans, two-spirit, and gender diverse people ages 13 and over who have experienced sexual assault or historical sexual abuse. Services include information, support and accompaniment in making police reports, information and orientation on the court process, court accompaniment, case status information, and assistance with Victim Impact Statements and Crime Victim Assistance Program (CVAP) forms. Also offers third party reporting to adult victims of sexual assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Collaborates with the Victoria Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Centre to provide youth victim services. To connect with Victim Services, call the Access and Information Line between 9:30 am to 4:45 pm Monday to Friday. Funding provided by the Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).

  Provides crisis support and group counselling for women and transgender people (whether they identify as a woman, man, genderqueer, or otherwise) as well as youth age 15 and over; collaborates with the Victoria Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Centre to provide counselling to youth ages 13 to 15.

  Provides crisis support and group counselling for women and transgender people (whether they identify as a woman, man, genderqueer, or otherwise) as well as youth age 15 and over; collaborates with the Victoria Child Abuse Prevention and Counselling Centre to provide counselling to youth ages 13 to 15. Individual crisis support assists people dealing with the most immediate emotional, physical, and behavioural reactions to sexual assault, as well as provides help for those currently experiencing a crisis in their life as a result of historical sexual abuse. Group counselling services focus on education, skills development, and peer support. Groups are offered in person and virtually. Individual trauma counselling helps people dealing with sexual trauma and its long-term effects. Funded as a Stopping the Violence (STV) Counselling program by Ministry of Public Safety and Solicitor General (MPSSG).
