  Provides support and short-term emergency space for women (cisgender and transgender) as well as Two-Spirit, and non-binary individuals ages 50 and older who are leaving violent relationships or are at risk of abuse, threats, or violence.

  Provides support and short-term emergency space for women (cisgender and transgender) as well as Two-Spirit, and non-binary individuals ages 50 and older who are leaving violent relationships or are at risk of abuse, threats, or violence. Gives women a safe and supportive environment with access to daily living requirements such as clothing, toiletries, and nutritious meals. Accepts refugees, refugee claimants, and women from out of the province. Length of stay is typically between 7 and 10 days but can be extended for a limited period based on extenuating circumstances. Personal identification (ID) is not required; will support women to obtain ID. A referral is required from the VWTH Society's Emergency Transition House. Wheelchair accessible. May be able to accommodate pets based on unit availability, but will arrange for fostering at the local SPCA where possible. House is located in Victoria; available on a first-come, first-served basis. Also provides support and advocacy services; individual support and support groups. Funded by BC Housing.

  Provides safe, temporary emergency space for up to 18 women (cisgender and transgender) as well as Two-Spirit, and non-binary individuals of all ages, with or without children, who are escaping violence or at risk of violence.

  Provides safe, temporary emergency space for up to 18 women (cisgender and transgender) as well as Two-Spirit, and non-binary individuals of all ages, with or without children, who are escaping violence or at risk of violence. Accepts male children age 19 and under; children of all ages can access if they are still considered a dependent due to a disability. Accepts refugee women and women from out of province. Length of stay is typically 30 days but can be extended based on extenuating circumstances. Also provides support services, stopping the violence counselling, community service referrals, and children's programs, and assistance with transportation to appointments. Offers resource information to enable women to explore their options and define their goals as well as assist with the development of safety plans. Services are available at no cost. Personal identification (ID) is required; will support women to obtain ID. Wheelchair accessible. May be able to accommodate pets based on unit availability, but will arrange for fostering at the local SPCA where possible. Funded by BC Housing.

  Provides supportive, temporary space for single older women (cisgender and transgender) as well as Two-Spirit, and non-binary individuals ages 45 to 65 who have left abusive relationships. Provides 22 affordable, one-bedroom suites (including one wheelchair accessible suite) as part of the second stage program where women can stay between six and 18 months; rent is geared to income. Supports women in becoming independent and self-reliant through supports, life skills training, and activities. Also provides women with life goal-setting, financial education, and safety. May be able to accommodate pets based on space availability, but will arrange for rehoming with SPCA where possible.

  Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence.

  Provides free individual and group counselling for children and youth ages three to 18 who have been exposed to family violence. Helps children and youth understand their emotions, discuss their trauma develop a safety plan, recognize their strengths, increase their self-confidence, and understand that they are not responsible for the violence. Offers a spring break and summer camp program for program participants. Also provides individual and group support for the non-offending parent and caregivers. The Violence is Preventable (VIP) Project offers school-based educational activities designed to prevent violence. Office hours are 9 am to 5 pm Monday to Friday; program hours vary.   Provides free and confidential community-based victim services programs to victims of any gender of assault, threats, or criminal harassment by an intimate partner or ex-partner.

  Provides free and confidential community-based victim services programs to victims of any gender of assault, threats, or criminal harassment by an intimate partner or ex-partner. Services include emotional support, advocacy, safety planning, assistance with child protection authorities, accompaniment to medical and/or criminal justice system services, liaison with crown counsel, information about the criminal justice system and court process, help preparing victim impact statements, form completion assistance, information on the status of police investigations and the status of court cases, information on peace bonds and restraining orders, help with applications for financial assistance, information and referral to other agencies. Referrals from duty counsel and self-referrals accepted. Serves Greater Victoria, Port Renfrew, Sooke, Sidney, the lower Gulf Islands, and the Western Communities of Colwood, Langford, Metchosin, The Highlands, Esquimalt, and View Royal.
