Services include emotional support, advocacy, safety planning, assistance with child protection authorities, accompaniment to medical and/or criminal justice system services, liaison with crown counsel, information about the criminal justice system and court process, help preparing victim impact statements, form completion assistance, information on the status of police investigations and the status of court cases, information on peace bonds and restraining orders, help with applications for financial assistance, and information and referral to other agencies and services such as counselling/transition houses/support for children/etc. Also offers third party reporting to victims of sexualized assault; staff report the assault to police on behalf of the victim who remains anonymous. Those eligible for support must reside in Maple Ridge or Pitt Meadows, or the offence must have taken place in one of these communities. Hours are 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Friday.
