  A Community Residential Facility (CRF) for women on conditional release, providing a homelike environment and supported community re-entry. The focus is on the five reintegration pillars of housing, education, employment, health, and positive support networks, that are meant to reduce the risks associated with income insecurity, homelessness, and isolation. Staff support women to complete the community plan they presented to the Parole Board, and report, as legally required, on the women's whereabouts to enable the governing legislative requirements to be met. Funded by Corrections Services of Canada.

Accepts children up to age 18. Services include meals, basic necessities, laundry facilities, and crisis intervention. Also offers life-skills training and one-to-one support with housing, legal, and social service issues. Health-related services include supports through referral. Capacity is 12 beds; families are housed in one room and singles share a room. No substance use is permitted on the premises, and all medication must be turned over to staff. Referral accepted from self or other; a short screening assessment is done prior to intake. Pets are not allowed. Wheelchair accessible.

Utilizes a trauma-informed, semi-structured clinical program designed to meet the unique needs of women in recovery. Employs a harm-reduction approach. 24-hour staffing. Services include group programming, individual counselling, and case management. Programming can be provided for three to five months depending on individual needs.   Provides modest-income families with access to grants for up to $3,200 for their children's post-secondary education by opening a no-fee Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP).

  Provides modest-income families with access to grants for up to $3,200 for their children's post-secondary education by opening a no-fee Registered Education Savings Plan (RESP). Assists clients through every step of the registration process, removing any barriers that may be preventing them from accessing grants. If needed, assists clients to obtain required documentation and covers costs for obtaining documentation (filing taxes, obtaining birth certificates or identification). To be eligible for the Canada Learning Bond, children must have been born in 2004 or later, and families with one to three children must have a net income under $50,197. The Canada Learning Bond provides an initial $500 in the RESP, and $100 a year until age 15. To be eligible for the BC Training and Education Savings Grant, children must have been born in 2006 or later, reside in BC, and be between the ages of six and eight. BCTESG provides a one-time payment of $1,200. Apply online or contact the office.

  Low-barrier center provides support to vulnerable women and their children. Run by volunteers who offer support in accessing community resources. Center provides access to essential needs such as shower and laundry facilities, free clothing, and snacks. Clients may participate in various workshops (haircare, bingo, sewing, arts and crafts, and others). Drop-in hours are 10 am to 8 pm Tuesdays, and 10 am to 4 pm Wednesday to Sunday. Hours are subject to change. Also operates as an extreme weather response overnight shelter between November 1st and April 15th when weather is extreme and a community alert is called.

Each self-contained studio apartment includes bathroom, stovetop, and a fridge. There is shared amenity space that includes a laundry room, commercial kitchen and a dining lounge area where residents can enjoy meals together. The building also has a safe consumption space to engage in safe consumption of substances. Support workers provide 24-hour support to ensure the wellbeing of residents. Breakfast and dinner are offered daily. Women live semi-independently and have access to staff for support and case planning. Does not allow pets. Six units on the first floor of the building are wheelchair accessible. Apply through BC Housing. Funded by BC Housing.

  Provides nine transitional living units in New Westminster for women ages 19 and over, with a maximum stay of 18 months. Three apartment units are reserved for women released from correctional facilities who are doing community work release. Six units are second-stage housing with priority given to women exiting prison or completing community residential programs (including parole and probation, shelter, or substance use treatment) who also require additional support such as case management and relapse prevention in order to transition to independent community living. Support staff are available on site 24 hours daily; also offers educational, social, and leisure activities at the drop-in centre located in the same building. Women are expected to be fully independent in their self-care and involved in work, volunteer, education, or other daily commitments while participating in this program. Applicants must be stable in their alcohol and drug/mental health recovery for at least six months, and be linked with an alcohol and drug or mental health support team in order to maintain recovery. Referral accepted from self or other. Rent is $400 per month; damage deposit is required. Maximum stay is 18 months.

Services include meals/snacks, shower and laundry facilities, personal hygiene products, clothing, and first aid/wound care. Other services include information and referral, advocacy, access to local calling, support with accessing income assistance, housing search assistance and support (including a rental subsidy), as well as law clinic support. Health-related services include 24-hour access to bed rest. Pets are not allowed, and no storage available. Individuals may be admitted when intoxicated on condition of respectful behaviour, and if they can complete and understand the intake process. Zero tolerance for drugs and alcohol on the property. Violence will not be tolerated. Length of stay is 30 days, with possibility of extension. Shelter is wheelchair accessible. Referral accepted from self or other at any time. Shelter hours are 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Funded by BC Housing.

  A residential treatment program with 15 beds for women (cisgender and transgender) and non-binary individuals ages 19 and over who are in recovery from substance use. Staffed 24 hours. Residents are supported in stabilization for up to two weeks. Holistic programming includes individual and group counselling, cultural supports, and life skills development; participation is required. Services to promote the transition to independence include relapse prevention, aftercare planning, support finding employment or housing, and referrals to community services. Length of stay is 90 days. Three beds are under the supervision of Correctional Services Canada (CSC); a referral is required from a parole officer. For all other applicants, a referral is required from Fraser Health Substance Use Services Access Team (SUSAT); referrals can be made in partnership with community care teams and the applicable Regional Health Authority Liaison. Accepts individuals on substitution therapy; medications are administered daily by a pharmacist. Residence is not wheelchair accessible. Funded by BC Mental Health and Substance Use Services (BCMHSUS) as a Provincial Substance Use Treatment Program.

Mothers focus on best outcomes for their child and themselves while developing long-term abstinence and stable housing plans. Services include case management, referrals, relapse prevention planning, assistance with establishing healthy goals, and securing stable housing. Maximum stay is 90 days. Single women are referred through Fraser Health Substance Use Services. Pregnant and newly parenting individuals are able to self-refer.
