UBER Rides for Vaccination Appointments
Uber Canada is providing promo codes which can be redeemed for subsidized rides to help reduce transportation barriers to and from COVID-19 vaccination appointments.
Through this partnership BC211 will distribute the codes to support up to 9900 rides within the Uber service area in Vancouver and surrounding municipalities (see map).
COVID-19 and 211
Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, BC211 has grown to meet the challenge of providing vital support to British Columbians as they navigate the social, community, and government services available to help. Here are some of the milestones we reached along the way:
February 11th is 211 Day across North America
This year, for the first time, anyone living anywhere in Canada can pick up the phone and dial 2-1-1 to reach a Navigator for information on community, government and social services in or near their community. The service is free, confidential, 24/7 in most of Canada, and available in more than 150 languages.
New Financial Relief Navigator: One Stop COVID-19 Benefits and Relief Information
A clear, easy-to-follow resource featuring COVID-19 relief measures from governments, banks, credit unions, and utility, internet and telecom providers.
Safe Seniors, Strong Communities
We’re all feeling vulnerable because of COVID-19. Now, imagine you’re a senior living independently with the help of family and friends. Calls for social distancing and self-isolation to prevent the spread of the outbreak means you’re finding these supports unavailable.
